Zabriskie Point is a part of Amargosa Range located east of Death Valley in Death Valley National Park in California, United States noted for its erosional landscape. It is composed of sediments from Furnace Creek Lake, which dried up 5 million years ago—long before Death Valley came into existence.
Hi! Thanks for visiting my website. I've been so busy putting my images here that I haven't yet had the time to write a bio. That will come soon, once I have a decent body of work to display. In the meantime, allow me to share a quote of Mark Twain that I use for inspiration: "You cannot depend on your eyes if your imagination is out of focus." And another from Ansel Adams: "There is nothing worse than a brilliant image of a fuzzy concept." I'm actively creating art and displaying it here; so, please come back often. You may even find something you like ... you never know!

Great display of surface texture in this piece...L/F
Jim Moss replied:
Thanks Jeff! I appreciate the feedback. I try to emphasize surface texture in many of my landscapes. The wonderful course graininess of these badlands cried out for such emphasis. The low sun angle was a big help.
